What you deserve to know GrabFood and Foodpanda take a cut of 35% and this does not include additional transaction fees. Some other platforms charge a registration fee. We don't do that. By charging only a commission and not other types of fees, we only earn when you earn. So please know that we have the best interest in you and we want you to succeed. 😊

What we use the commission for We use the commission to take care of any marketing and operational expenses, customer support, credit card processing expenses, and anything else needed to maintain and develop the platform for you to grow your business. We also manage and pay for all deliveries. In summary, the commission to make sure Hawkr’s business model is sustainable in the long run to be able to support your business as well.

Commission policy Our commission policy is meant to help you succeed on Hawkr! All new Hawkr merchants will start out at 30% commission.

Commission will reduce to 25% once you complete the following set of tasks (I swear we are not those SMS scams 😭). These tasks include:

  1. Adding catchy descriptions of your menu items
  2. Adding a catchy bio of your business and yourself!
  3. Taking excellent photos of your food and uploading high quality photos

Commission will reduce to 20% once you complete the following set of tasks:

  1. Taking a 30 seconds - 1 min video of yourself talking about your story! A guide will be provided to you after this.
  2. Taking at least 3 short high quality videos of yourself preparing food.

Commission will reduce to 15% once you complete the following set of tasks:

  1. Getting at least 5 customers to order from your shop per month (the delivery must be completed successfully) OR
  2. Posting on social media and tagging Hawkr at least 3 times per month OR
  3. Taking at least 3 short high quality videos of yourself preparing food per month

*Commission will fall back to 20% if you do not complete one of the three tasks above every month.

You do not have to memorize any of this. We will create a WhatsApp group chat with you once you are done registering as a merchant. Our WhatsApp group chat with you will be your main point of contact with us. Think of it as your personal consultant! If you feel like the above tasks are daunting, please don’t worry. We have designed these tasks to help you stand out to customers. We’re here to watch you succeed!

Refund policy All merchants are entitled to 3 mistakes at no cost. -For example, if it is your first time forgetting to make a specific menu item ordered by a customer, we will provide a refund to the customer without deducting from your payout. -However, if it is your fourth time making a mistake, a deduction will be made from your payout. -The exception to this rule is if the mistake is made by us or our delivery partners. Hawkr will bear the cost of any mistake made by us or our delivery partners.

Payout policy Payouts will be made weekly on Monday. Depending on your bank account, it may take 3-4 business days for the payout to be reflected in your account.
